Pokhara
Pokhara, a beautiful city of Nepal which is located
on the western part of Nepal. It lies in the centre of Kaski District and
Gandaki Zone with an area of 55.22 km2. It is approximately
200KM from Kathmandu valley (Capital city of Nepal) by bus passing through Prithvi
highway but the fastest way to reach over there is Airways which is regular
flight from Tribhuvan International Airport
to Pokhara Airport . It just takes 25 to 30 minutes to reach over there
from Tribhuvan International Airport to Pokhara Airport. Pokhara is one of the
second largest tourist destinations in Nepal because of its beauty. Pokara is
the second most expensive city in country after Kathmandu. It is the homeland
of many Gurkhas Soliders.
On the ancient days, people used to said that
Pokhara where we can find numbers of Lakes and Ponds so that it’s name become
Pokhara from Pokhari. It is popular as “City of Lakes” as Phewa Lake, Begnas
Lake, Rupa Lake, Gude Lake, Neurani Lake, Deepang Lake, Maidi Lake and Khastey
Lake lies on these city which are the
main attraction of the foreigners. Foreginers used to loved boating on this
lakes with mind blowing views of Annapurna rang to the north of Pokhara
including Annapurna I and VI, Annapurna South and Machapuchhare gives an
amazing feelings to the boat rider as well as the lake is surrounded by hills
from where foreigners can also listen a sweet voice of birds during their ride.
When the sun rises, you can see the reflection of the mountains specially
Machapuchhare in Phewa Lake, turyl a photographer’s paradis. This is one of the
few places in the world to provide such a dramatic view in a sub-tropical
setting.
Pokhara is the gateway from the most of the treks in
the Annapurna region, including Annapurna Base Came and Upper Mustang. The sun
rise view can be seen early in the morning from the Sarangkot as well as you
can do Paragliding from here. Mostly, foreigners and Nepalese came to see sun
rise early in the morning so the area looks quite good with lots of people on
the hill side. According to the Nature of beauty, there are numbers of places
to visit in Pokhara valley.

Falls: - Spectacular, supernatural and unusual. Davis falls
plundes into a cave and disappears into the earth.
2. World
Peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa):- The Pagoda was
built about 16 years ago on the top hill overviewing Phew Lake. The pagoda
offers a grea place to see the mountain and the sunset over Pokhara along
the people doing boating on Phew Lake. It can be accessed by hiring a boat
across the lake and following a pretty good track upward by foot through
the forest but we should have to watch out for leeches during the monsoon.
The road passes through Devi’s Fall
turning right at the end of Chhorepatan and track upward by foot.
